Hello ….. New Website !

So, it is new website launch day and hopefully things have gone smoothly and you are reading this without any hiccups. I must say, it has been satisfying building this website. In the past I have had third parties build websites for me and as a result had no way of updating them myself and therefore they had very limited information on them.

I have really enjoyed collating these past projects, revisiting ones I had forgotten about, (and also realising there are some I don’t have any photographs of) and as a result I realised what a wide range of commission work I have done over the years.

If you haven't done so already, then have a look around the 'Commissions' page and my completed projects under the six categories, Architectural Glass, Glass Lighting, Glass Kitchen Splashbacks, Glass Awards, Glass Door Handles & Glass for Furniture.

Commissioning Bespoke Glass & Sample Ordering Service

As well as showcasing projects, I really want this new website to get across the ease of the commissioning process, wherever you are located. There is a dedicated page, the ‘Commissioning Process’ and a page of ‘Frequently Asked Questions’, which I hope you find useful.

There is a section in the shop where you can buy a glass samples from my bespoke textured glass range. This allows you to look at the textured glass in-situ before committing to commissioning from me. This only applies to the Textured, Kiln Formed Glass. Examples of projects using this glass are illustrated. This glass style is popular for bespoke kitchen and bathroom splashbacks, shelving, doors and windows. It is a really versatile product as if effective when placed on a wall (as in the case of splash backs) or with light passing through it. I can make the glass in various thicknesses, toughen it so it is suitable for many applications (such as shelving) and have it made into double glazed units.

Some examples are below. From Left : ‘Waterfall’ texture in green tint, ‘Lichen’ texture in clear and ‘Bubble’ texture in green tint.

My Inspiration

Inspired by running and swimming in the natural world of my beautiful home in the English Lake District. The fells, rock formations, tarns, lakes and coastline are a visual feast. Below examples of lichen, sand and ice formations inform some glass textures.

Top Row : Lichen (photo), ‘Shifting Sands’ in clear glass, Sand (photo), ‘Lichen’ in light green glass

Bottom Row : ‘Bubble’ in bronze, Ice forms (photo), ‘Concentric’ in grey glass, Lichen (photo).

Thanks for reading, please contact me with any questions, to discuss possible commissions or to visit the studio in person.
